Owner bought the boat in 2012
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? This boat is totally awesome for first time sailors. Yes, I would buy this boat again...my wife had a dream of sailing and I found this boat in Austin, TX. I decided to buy it and surprise her.
Gear that's been added I totally remodeled the interior. Made it more comfortable for weekend overnight sleeping. I put in updated LED lighting and brand new stereo system with satellite radio. I replaced the hardware and continue to upgrade it. My next project is to have it bottom painted.
Structural or complex improvements I\'ve added a swimming platform...making much easier getting in and out of the boat for swimming.
The boat's best features Handling, it like driving a classic car. Not too fast, but great for relaxing day sailing.
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. I\'ve had some minor issues with lowering the rudder. I\'ve played around with the rigging and think I got it working fine. Lowering and raising the keel needs some engineering improvements.
Sailing characterisitcs The boat handles smoothly. Under heavy wind it tends to have a mind of it\'s own. As I learn more of it\'s sailing characteristics, sailing performance has improved.
Motoring characterisitcs
Liveability Sleeping in it overnight is okay, if its just two.
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any)
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any
