Location of boat mid fl.
The boat is sailed on Open ocean
How the boat is used Blue water, extended passages
Normal wind strength 10-15 knots
Average size of crew 2-4
Liveaboard? No
Owner bought the boat in 2004
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? You bet i would. great little boat.
Gear that's been added gps map plotter, sounder. 3 batt. bank with a 1750+ inverter with a 3 cf refer.and 3 solar panels.and a pedestal mounted compass.a VHF with out side speaker.sun shade for the bimini top and cockpit.stereo with 4 speakers a gimbled stove 5 inches of foam all around for the beds and cockpit cushions.3 hammocks for storage.lazy jacks.furling genoa. and off both side spreaders i have installed flag halyards. for port entry. side curtains for the bimini.so shade is on any side we need it.a rail mounted BBQ and a man over board pole and life ring.we also have a foldable dingy with paddles. I am now building a wind generator for the boat.
Structural or complex improvements
The boat's best features knowing it's a safe boat the will right itself if need be and won't sink.it also takes large waves well.good handeling in a blow.
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. thin foam in seats and beds.
Sailing characterisitcs doesent like to sail with the main only.
Motoring characterisitcs motors well no problems with it. i have heard of people complaining about the way it motors ,but they are not sea going people with a lot of experience if you think a mac 26 wanders try a large shrimp boat single screw boat. you will learn real quick NOT to over steer.
Liveability wonderful on the X model but would not like to try it on the new models. the wide open X model is great and its easy to get into the cockpit from the sea.after diveing and with the room around the eng on the X you can land some very large fish with ease.
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any)
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any easy and good people
Other comments i would like to see you put 2 of them together with a saloon between them and make a catamaran boat. WOW.
