If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? Yes I would buy it again. My wife likes having more room for the two kids below, and I like how fast it goes. I didnt really know what to expect but was expecting it to handle more like a tank. It is a used boat that has been well used. Mac built her tuff though. She is really in remarkably good shape compared to many of the boats the same age we looked at.
Gear that's been added noper
Structural or complex improvements noper
The boat's best features No exterior wood to worry about, ease of towing into mountain lakes or on long trips. The speed I am learning to coax out of her is fun too. I do pace myself by the other boats I see on the lake to try and tell if I am learning anything yet LOL.
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. The short wide door over the sink had to be replaced.
Sailing characterisitcs Tracks to the wind nicely. More stable than I expected. I was thinking it would roll more than it does with no weighted keel.
Motoring characterisitcs A bit of daggerboard down helps.
Liveability A bit spartan perhaps, but durable and easy to keep up. New cushions for a spot or two are in the works.
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any) noper
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any My experience with a local broker was good. He took me out for a break in run at our local lake to get me up to speed.
Other comments I love this boat.
