Review of the Macgregor 19 by Jim Brennan

The boat's best features The roominess of the cockpit  
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. No interior drain, one in the area of the centeboard container would have been a wonderful place for drainage, and convenience. also thegooose-neck has rusted badly and I am having a terrible time finding as replacement.  
Sailing characterisitcs Nothing spectacular, very pleasant sailing  
Motoring characterisitcs I have a Macgregor- Venture 17 foot boat,with it I have a three HP Honda motor and for the type of waters I sail in it is very adequite.  
Liveability It would be possible, but not highly reommended.  
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any) Have not dealt with MacGregor at this time.  
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any Bought from a private owner.  
Other comments I have not had any luck contacting the Mac Gregor company as of this writing, but plan to do so in the immediate future.
