Gear that's been added
Bimini top, (2) 6 gal. fuel tanks, 2nd battery, solar vent, danforth anchor, main sail cover and jib bag, lines led aft, upgraded deck hardware package from my dealer "Boats-4-Sail" in Oconomowoc, WI.
Structural or complex improvements
Electric head with 10 gal. fresh water tank and 10 gal. waste water tank, shore power w/panel and 4 receptacles
The boat's best features
The versatility of the power sailor concept which allows me to do some sailing but if I'm in a hurry to visit a spot 40 miles away or the kids want to do some "tubing", I can fire up the Etec 60.
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc.
Two minor issues with the Etec which have been resolved
Sailing characterisitcs
As I expected, not a "great" sailor but certainly a good one.
Motoring characterisitcs
Requires attention to steering to maintain course but you're supposed to be paying attention. I don't believe the boat with the stock Etec 60hp will do 24mph as MacGregor states, at least mine never has. Myself and my 8 year old on board with one 6 gal. fuel tank and empty ballast, smooth water, topped out at 19.5 on GPS

The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any

I purchased from Bill Beers at Boats-4-Sail in Oconomowoc, WI. I couldn't be happier with my experience with Bill. He's a good, zero pressure guy who truly did talk me out of a few "upgrades" that I wouldn't really need. Others he suggested I use the boat for a season and then let him know what I thought I might like to add.
