If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again?	Yes. At first I preferred a 1/2 ton keel, but now after 4 seasons I am getting used to to the 'techie' MacGregor. The ease of launching and hauling out; the trailerable mobility and the overal comfort of sailing the 26X has won me over
Gear that's been added	Yes, boom vang, gas fired generator, compass,GPS,satelite dish on masthead, 14 l stowable cooler.
Structural or complex improvements	No.
The boat's best features	Trailerability, water ballast, clean, unclutterd lines, easy to maintain, spaciousness of cockpit and cabin.
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc.	Self-furling genoa needs kinks ironed out, main does not track to masthead properly. Does not pinch worth a damn!
Sailing characterisitcs	Doesn't perform well in heavy headwinds. Have had to use power to make way. Very tender helm and difficilut to stay on heading in heavier winds.
Motoring characterisitcs	Recently 'lost' a jib sheet overboard which became entangled in propeller shaft. Luckily US Coast Guard was on patrol and towed us away from a shoal.
Liveability	Very enclosed - cruised with 3 adults and a small child. We were cramped due to excess gear and provisions. Have to take less onboard.
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any)	Only through Dowsar Marine in Hamilton, ON. Bought boat used, but added refinements. Dowsar is closest outfitter for MacGregor in our areaand is 8 hr drive away. Good shipping policies and very expedient.

Other comments	Overall, she is a fine little yacht. Couldn't be more pleased with my husband's final decision in purchasing her. Many hours of delight aboard the 'Masalla'
