Owner bought the boat in	1999
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again?	Probably, although at times I wish it were a better "sail"boat. For the most part, though, it fits the needs of my wife and I.
Gear that's been added	Shorepower,inverter,two house batteries, battery combiner, charger,CO and smoke detectors, CD player, VHF radio, assymetical spinnaker,compass. GPS, bimini,cockpit cushions, roller furler.
Structural or complex improvements	Redid stock galley module by adding shelves and sliding doors. Made battery hold down boxes under the V berth for the house batteries and ran 2/0 welding cables back to the terminal posts under the galley.
The boat's best features	It's dual personality, both a power and a sail boat
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc.	The pivot area for pin that supports the center board was not manufactured correctly. I had to add a reenforcing block that was left out when it was built.
Sailing characterisitcs	It's very hard to find the groove upwind. I've sailed all types of boats, cats, daysailor, pocket cruisers, but this seems to have a mind of its own.
Motoring characterisitcs	Love the 50 hp motor
Liveability	For the wife and I, it's fine. It would be nice to have more amenities. Hot and cold pressure water, air conditioning etc, but then we probably should get a houseboat
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any)	Disappointed in factory support for parts. I've tried to obtain a replacement forward cockpit rail for 2 years. Now that they've started making the new model, I guess i'm out of luck. Fortunately the damaged one is still serviceable.
