Structural or complex improvements

The boat's best features
High speed motoring when going up river and up wind. Shallow draft for boating in the thousand island.
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc.
Water system terrrible due to cheap pumps and water tanks. Electrical system very cheap.
Sailing characterisitcs
very stern heavy with all your gear on board. I have redistributed the weight more forward and it has help. I'm going to add some fixed ballast forward to see if this helps.
Motoring characterisitcs
The boat gets blown around quit a bit when windy. I use a little center board to help the boat track better.
Liveability
we sometimes stay on the boat for a week at a time. We have a one and three year old. The camper canvas is great. especially when the weather gets bad.
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any)
Very polite but do not give out very much information.
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any
Havencraft, we had good luck with them but one person we talk to who bought after us when the dealership was changing hands had a terrible experience.

The 26M looks like a much better sailing and motoring boat. The interior in the 26M in my opinion is much better family crusing.
