The boat's best features Heels easy in light winds. A very attractive and fun boat to sail. I enjoy the way it handles and the cockpit is roomy and uncluttered. A very forgiving boat for the novice sailor.
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. This boat is not easy to sail solo. The roomy cockpit makes tending the jibs and booms at the same time difficult because you can't reach both without letting go of the tiller. I have to rope the tiller off before I tend to the jib. Also, it's not a fast boat.
Sailing characterisitcs Fun to sail if you like going slow.
Motoring characterisitcs
Liveability Not...
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any)
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any
Other comments I'm glad I own the first production year. It's the only year I know of that they made them with a port window on the front of the cabin. The later ones don't have this which dosen't look as good.
