Sailing characterisitcs
Sails very well - use bungie cord to hold ruder in place to sail by itself. High freeboard can cause a turning problem if sailing with the jib alone.
Motoring characterisitcs
Have 8 hp Marina motor- very reliable- shape of hull makes for almost planeing when opened up.
Liveability
I and a friend can camp out for a few days- have a small stove and plenty of storage for food and water. never setup the table-use the space for a bed and eat sitting on it or on deck. Can anchor at any cove I want to, to spend the night.

my boat"Moonchaser" came from Ohio to Yorktown NY on a trailer. Have the same tires- easy towing to the marina, and keep it in my driveway rear ,for the winter.Made a gin pole to raise the mast, but have a friend with me when raising so dont use it now. Have removed the fibreglass from the keel, now painted cast iron. refinished rudder and new hand rails on the cabin every other year. Big keel boats stay in the marina while I go out a few times a week--cant beat that- lol
