A few modifications

Here are some mods I made to my 1992 Mac26-S which I purchased in July 2010. The galley was a mess so I reworked the whole thing, adding a stainless sink/electric pump, 7 gal freshwater holding tank. I also added 5 interior lights, shelves in the head, expanded the v-berth storage opening, installed a radio/speakers, built shelves for either side of the companionway and added a platform on the aft port rail for grilling and jumping off of.

I also cut the railing on the aft starboard side and added a teak swim platform where the original ladder was. I actually attached the original ladder to the new teak platform to make getting in and out of the water a breeze. The reason for cutting the rail in the back was to make getting in and out of the boat easier for swimmers as that rail was a big obstacle. I will post pics of that later.

I got my ideas for these mods from here as well as a few other sights. My main inspiration and ideas came from Ruth and Sumners vast sight on their Mac26 here http://purplesagetradingpost.com/sumner/macgregor/macgregor-index.html

Thanks to everyone for sharing your mods!
