Galley

I wanted to get as many functions I could out of such a small space. My priority was to put the largest ice chest into the galley cabinet I could fit. I was really tired of the ice chest in the middle of the floor or elsewhere, getting in the way, so thats what I did. I love the look of wood, so I made an oak counter, trimmed with teak. I included a stainless steel sink, that can be covered when not in use. Also the ice chest has a wood cover maximizing the flat useable space when neither the sink of the ice chest is needed.

Previously I moved two batteries from under the sink, freeing up that space for storage. I built a floor inside the cabinet providing flat dry storage, and also painted the interior with marine grade epoxy.

The back and side walls of the galley now have shelves for storing items. The two shelves on the side are large enough to accomodate, bags of chips, boxes of crackers or cookies.
