When I first got my boat the OEM center board was split, and the pivot hole was cracked. So I decided to replace it with a new Idasailor HDPE center board. This mod was a lot of work, because the boat had to practically be taken off the trailer. I built a wood cradle for the stern only, and left the bow over the trailer, but supported with a floor jack. I moved it just enough to be able to drop the centerboard and clear the trailer. I also had to drill a new holes of the same sizes as the old ones.
