Wanting to make use of the space, I fashioned this box out of 1/2 cabinet grade plywood. Very few 90-degree angles, so I made a mock-up from cardboard and transferred to the plywood. Piano hinge with finger hole to keep things simple. I use it for extra hats, toilet paper, paper towels and such.

Note the use of the anchor for a toilet paper holder. Everything must do double duty!
