These stainless steel spring hatch props are great, but lack adjustability. I made this sliding track out of aluminum C-channel to solve that problem. Hitch pin can be set in any of the three holes (you can drill more if you wish!) to adjust the resting angle. The spring is robust enough to withstand having the hatch opened all the way until it is resting on the deck if you are worried (as my wife does) about it falling on the users head if they accidently bump the spring.
