Turnbuckle side stays

posted 09-12-2008 by Jim Bowen

Recently I changed out the original slide style connectors on my side stays for swageless eyes and turnbuckles. After a little liquid courage I cut my side stay according to the Navtec guide and it was on. The swageless connector was easy to install and the instructions were crystal clear. First cable took roughly 15 minutes then the rest were 5 minute jobs. I like the increased control of tension I get with the turnbuckles. Looks much better also. Next project: Split my aft stay and add an adjuster.
