V-22 singlehand setup

posted 10-07-2008 by James Girgenti

Preventer outside cam cleat, Jib Sheet inside cleat, all lines to cockpit, traveler helps with good main shape.

Heading Out To Barnegat Bay

Left to right: preventer ,jib sheet, jib downhaul, barberhaul(red),jib halyard, main single line reef(blue),.

All lines go to cockpit

The 1970 V-22 Sail# 104 has a front window, and a flat deck with raised sides and a cockpit. I covered the cockpit and use it for a anchor and line.

Good Deck Space

The 1970 V-22 has a well for the outboard. This makes it easy to reach the controls.

OUTBOARD WELL

I like to sail singlehanded at times. Havivg all controles within reach keeps me safe and in the cockpit. By adding some sail shape controls One Particular Harbor sails very well!

Central Control !

Controls from right to left: preventer, jib sheet, barberhaul, topping lift, main haylard, main downhaul, cunningham to sliding goosneck, large line in center is main sheet to traveler.
