Boat is located in Sacramento,CA.Please contact the owner @ 916-871-8405..From Sailing Magazine dated November 2008: The rugged double-ender was designed and built for sailing coasts and inland waters where the scenery is beautiful but the weather unpredictable. If you fancy the notion of sailing some of Canadas picturesque western lakes, gunkholing in Penobscott Bay, or exploring the boats namesake region, the Pacific Northwest, but dont have the time or money to consider full-time cruising, the trailerable Kodiak is an alluring option.
Boat Condition: Very Good to Excellent shape. The bottom was completely sandblasted and repainted. The boat was in Lake Tahoe last year; pulled the boat after a month and it still looks like brand new!!! Sails are original and in good shape. All exterior teak refinished.
Motoring time using batteries: Approximately 5+ hours at 50% throttle (2-3 knots). Never had any problems with battery capacity- use the motor mostly to get in and out at dock and when lack of wind or inclimate weather prevails... At boat slip, you use the shore power plug-in- nothing special. Offseason, the batteries are are charged overnight one day a month with a internal 144v DC charging system using regular 110v AC into shore power plug-in- a really clean setup that works well!! Checked every month- very little discharge if any!
Add ons: Really cool well made one of a kind electric winch mast raising system. Bolted to the back side of tabernacle and works like a charm! Trailer has added bunks that really make it so much easier to retrieve boat back on the trailer- like butter!!
