General condition and any additional information
This has been a great boat for us. We decided to get something a little smaller since we didnt us the overnighting features of the 26. It was mostly sailed on a small lake in Omaha but also traveled up to larger regional lakes. Boat always performed well. It handled very heavy winds and with the general engineering of its setup we always felt very safe. With the water keel it was easy to pull on the trailer. Youll be very happy with this boat!
Macgregors classic water-ballast swing-keel with nice set of cushions, two sets of sails plus the original cruising spinnaker. Well maintained with all major systems working. Added a bilge pump a couple years ago which was a nice addition. Lights are operational and the battery is virtually new. Motor is the original but it still has been 100% reliable. Mast raising system makes rigging/derigging a 1-man job. Porta potty is relatively private.
Extra gear included
6 coast guard approved life jackets.
Anchor + chain and 100 rope.
Improvements to the hull, deck, rigging, engine, or interior
Boat has been well cared for with most of the improvements made to replace worn items prior to their failure. Replaced all sheets 2 years ago. Added a roller furling and 150% genoa. Added bilge pump to existing sink drain on starboard side. Works great! Prior owner installed a TV/DVD system that we have used a couple times. Also has a stereo system and interior LED lighting. Bottom is painted with copper anti-foul paint. Has a depth/speed gauge with alarm for shallow water.
