General condition and any additional information
A rare Cherubini Raider, number 24 of only 29 ever made between 1979 and 1983. Designed by John Cherubini and built with exacting craftsmanship. The original owner worked directly with Cherubini on customizations to the boat, with original documentation of the design work still available. She has had only two owners since. Featured in “Best Boats to Build or Buy” by Ferenc Maté.
This racer/cruiser sports a very fine entry (Ferenc Maté: “very, very few have anywhere as sharp a stem as the Raider’s, which is like a razorblade”) and a tumblehome hull. Powered by a Powerful Yanmar 3GMD 22 HP spinning a 2-blade prop. Well-shaped cockpit that seats 4 with lots of room behind the wheel and custom cabinetry and finish down below in teak. Custom dodger and bimini matches trim on the jib, and a mainsail with number 24 honors its origin from Cherubini Yachts.
Spend all her days on the Northeast Coast. Was in excellent condition at last sail, however has not been on the water since 2019. COVID, a cross-country move, and family needs interfered with our plans to keep sailing, so she will need some TLC to get back in the water.
